The foods we love connect us, comfort us, and tell the world who we are. Perhaps most of all food is memory. How quickly we can recall a moment with just one bite. Our favourite childhood foods propel us back in time, flooding us with nostalgic pleasure. Memories of these foods are rarely about the foods themselves, but rather their power to unlock a much bigger experience. This series of ceramic sculptures explores our intimate relationship with food. Familiar colours and textures spark memories of the past. Individually and together, these savoury and sweet objects return us to our youth and invite us to revel in their deep and visceral nostalgia.
